A NATIONAL ROUND TABLE ON THE LABOR MARKET POLICIES IN THE CONTEXT OF NEW FORMS OF WORK AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WAS HELD ON 31.05.2024 AT THE PLEVEN REGIONAL DIRECTORATE OF CHRDRI
On May 31 this year, at the Pleven Regional Directorate of the Center for Human Resources Development and Regional Initiatives, a National Round Table was held on: "The Labor Market Policies in the Context of New Forms of Labor and the Development of Artificial Intelligence". The event was implemented within the framework of the Operational Plan of Trainings for the State Administration for 2024.
The National Round Table was attended by employees in managerial and expert positions from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Employment Agency, the Chief Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency, NGOs, representatives of the social partners and the academic community, training organizations and consulting companies.
To moderate the event was invited Mrs. Elka Dimitrova, PhD in Economics, expert in the field of the labor market. Presentations on the topics from the agenda were made by Mr. Dobroslav Dimitrov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM), Mr. Dobrin Ivanov – Executive Director of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA), Tomcho Tomov, PhD – Director of the National Center for Competence Assessment (BIA), Mrs. Nadezhda Miteva – Voinski, representative of the Balkan Institute for Labor and Social Policy (BILSP) and Eng. Tsetan Naydenov – representative of the Technical University of Gabrovo.
At the National Round Table were discussed the challenges related to new technologies and AI in the context of the fifth industrial revolution in terms of the workforce and the labor market, as well as the new forms of work and the necessary changes in labor legislation and regulations. The participants in the National Round Table formulated general conclusions and gave specific proposals for continuing the theme.
